Nurse Navigator

At DeKalb Medical, comprehensive breast care means having a Nurse Navigator available to assist you. The Nurse Navigator can answer any questions you have and, if necessary, guide you through the process of diagnosis and treatment as quickly as possible, working directly with your referring physician. If you do not have a physician, we will be happy to help you find one.

Screening & Diagnosis

DeKalb Medical has the best technology and staff available to provide you with routine breast health services as well as diagnostic testing, if needed. Our Diagnostic Breast Center offers same day appointments, digital mammography, computer-aided detection or CAD (which gives radiologists a computerized second opinion) and a full range of services, including:

With digital mammography, you're typically in and out in less than and hour.

  • Routine breast imaging
  • Diagnostic mammograms
  • Breast ultrasound
  • Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Breast Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography)
  • Stereotactic biopsy
  • Extended hours: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.—5:30 P.M. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m.—2 p.m
Whether you need a routine breast screening exam or have a specific concern, we are here to help. To schedule a screening mammogram (which does not require a physician referral), please call 404.501.7243. Treatment
